Fund Raising
Following an intensive three years of fundraising, we are delighted to report that we have finished Phases 1 & 2, the complete refurbishment of 4 properties. The project is well ahead of schedule in that the charity has been able to retain the builders on site for Phase 3 with obvious cost benefits. Phase 3 will be complete by the end of July 2007 and the Trustees want to maintain the momentum into Phase 4.
The Charity has had strong village support for this project demonstrated by the local fundraising achieved by the Charity ( see list of events below) as well as generous support given from national charitable trusts. The Housing Corporation have given their support through a grant for the first two phases of the project. The National Almshouses Association are prepared to help with an interest free loan.
